Welcome to my office!
Interests
I am specialized in the development, implementation, and application
of seismic reflection imaging and inversion methods. For many years,
I have been working on the so-called Common-Reflection-Surface
(CRS) stack technology. This technology detects, parameterizes,
and stacks seismic reflection events in seismic prestack data using
a set of kinematic wavefield attributes. The latter provide superior
input to various subsequent processes like the inversion for
the subsurface distribution of propagation velocities. In addition,
I have been working on so-called Seismic Image Waves
which describe the propagation of hypothetical waves as a function of
velocity or acquisition geometry. Such waves allow to continuously
vary these propagation variables to transform seismic images.
For details on both topics, please refer to my
list of publications.
